The Biggest PB&J…. IN THE WORLD!

One of my Little Clients is a fantastic sewist. She comes up with the ideas, and I facilitate her learning new techniques. As I told her last week, it is her sewing atelier, and I am merely there to give suggestions. Then I had to explain what an atelier was. So much learning!

After a few simpler projects where we practiced sewing pieces together, turning, stuffing, making patterns and basic stitches, we moved on to the big kahuna– she wanted to make a giant peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Is this kid great or what? This week, she finished the peanut butter portion of the project:

She is in grade school, and is already a champ at having ideas and making them real.  Next week we’re moving on to the bread slices– this thing is going to be four separate pieces.  I can’t wait!

If you live in the South Bay and are interested in a one-time or more-times arts and crafts session for your child, click the Lessons link at the top of the page.  You will find I am not your average “tutor”, and your child will have an experience like none other.  They are the creator, and I am the helper.  Let make things!

p.s. There’s never a wrong time to post this:
