My name is Amy, I’m from Arkansas and I make giant stuffed asparaguses.  My talent is in making the things in your head become real things in your hands.  Am I an expert in anything? No, I’m not. But I can figure out how to make the craziest things.  Most of what I do is for fun, but I love to do commissions.  I’m currently located in San Jose, CA and always on the lookout for new projects.

I also do in-home arts and crafts lessons for children.  I think of the arts as creative problem solving, and do not miss an opportunity to connect whatever project we’re doing with math, science or language literacy.  I sneak in education like parents sneak in vegetables.  I start with skills the children are familar with and branch out to something new.  If there’s a skill you or your child are interested in, I’ll do my best to get to know it.  My fee includes travel, supplies and clean up.  Check out my Classes page for more info.

If you’d like to get ahold of me for a project, you can send me a message through Facebook.  To view more of my professional projects, check out my Behance portfolio.  You can even follow me on Twitter!

  2. Firehouse 8 says:

We are contacting you regarding some future pop ups we are curating and hope you’d be interested in joining us for.  We came across your work and thought you would be a good fit .

To tell you a little bit about us, Firehouse 8 is an up & coming event and pop-up retail space located in Russian Hill. https://www.facebook.com/SF.Firehouse.8

It was built in 1916 and remained a functioning Firehouse up until the late 1970s. It has since been restored and converted into an mixed retail, event space and we continue to expand our list of clients and vendors.

Outside of our private events in the evening, we have Wrecking Ball Coffee, 7 days a week as well as Thistle a floral pop-up every weekend. We also have had food vendors in the past and plan on adding more along with an addition of beer and wine in the near future. With summer coming up, we are working on organizing some pop-up weekends with local designers & vendors. We have prime demographics and a great location at 1648 Pacific Ave. between Polk and Van Ness. We feel this is a great opportunity and as we continue to expand, we are hoping to find vendors who would like to grow with us as well.

The pop-up dates we are organizing are the following:
-Mother’s Day weekend of the 11th and 12th (we are expecting a particularly good crowd this weekend)
    -May 25th & 26th
    -June 8th & 9th
    -June 22nd & 23rd

Our introductory offer to participate is a $50 daily rental fee, which includes a 6×4 case at no extra charge if interested and available. If these dates do not work with your schedule but you would like to hear more, feel free to ask us about are upcoming dates for summer. Please contact us for further details if interested.

We appreciate your time and hope to hear from you.

    Teresa and Katie
